hey guys! we have had a lot of fun this thanksgiving! being at home means lots of games, lots of family, lots of food, and lots of fun! we had some great laughs... and it was really fun to spend time at home!








i am very thankful for the family that i have, for the many blessings that i have been given, and thankful for the specific ways that i have been taught so many of lives lessons. i am who i am today because of so many people in my life. i have the best friends, and the best family!

its been a bit...

so, as you might have already noticed...i have not been blogging as much as i should have been...but to be completely honest, not much has happepend. at least not everyday. today (tonight) i am going to attempt to play catch up, and let you know what is going on in my life. i have been doing a lot of cooking lately. as it turns out i am so sick of eating out, that i have loved making dinner. i have made burritos, chili, potato soup, chicken and stuffing, and others i just cannot remember right now. but it really has been a lot of fun. (: this past weekend i spent some time with aunt bonnie... i also got to see bruce, kim, and family...and that was a lot of fun. it amazes me how much those kids have grown, i really enjoyed spending time just chatting. i was suprized to learn that bruce had just had his appendix out!!! wow! i am so glad that he is okay! it was a fun afternoon. bonnie and i ended up going to get some material, and then stopped at this place called "spoons and spices" (or something like that) and i was able to find a pan that i have been looking for forever! it was pretty cheap too for cast iron, so i bought it! i was really excited. we stopped by walmart on our way back to bonnies, and my car freaked out. BUMMER! i was not too happy about it. we spent the next hour waiting for the tow guy to come and get my car, and then we finally went back to bonnies! we watched "the ultimate gift" while i wrote a talk for church. for those of you who have not seen this movie it really is a good family movie, i think that it has a good message. i watched it again today...i really do love it! today was a good day. bonnie drove me home and stayed in my ward while i gave my talk. i talked about the 9th article of faith and how we can receive personal revelation. it went okay, i dont particularly enjoy speaking in church though. after church we had a linger longer and they made us spaghetti dinner. it was pretty good and it was nice to get to know the ward a bit better. today i also was given a new calling. i am the FHE coordinator. i think that they said i have a partner, but she is really busy with work...so it might just be me. i am only really supposed to go to the ward for another couple of years, but i think it will be a good experience for now...so if any of you have any great group FHE ideas...i would love love love to get them...anything! (: this afternoon i decided to put my new pan to use... i called my gma for the recipe and made a yummy yummy meal! it is more of something that you would eat for breakfast, with cinn/sugar i have had them since i was little. it is a danish dish, and we called them ebbelskews. that is not what they are called...but they are really good! so i seasoned my new pan and put it to good use! it worked amazing..and they were really yummy! do you take your microwave for granted?

i know some of you might think that title is weird, but in all honesty i did not know how much i use a microwave until i moved and i dont have one! i just had a good laugh becuase i have left overs, but cannot really cook them quickly, and if it is going to take that long, then i should just make something else from scratch! ha! it is funny to me! also, other things that i forget that i did not have was a can opener... i am suprized that i did not chop off any of my fingers the other night when opening a can of green beans to go with some yummy italian chicken (thanks for the recipe kris)! those are my random thoughts for the moment. i am planning on posting another update soon, but for now- thats it!

spoiled rotten!

all i have to say is that pedicures are a gift from heaven!!! and the man who was all mine for about an hour... wow...he gave an amazing foot/calf massage as well as took care of all of the pampering that i usually do myself, it will be hard to not to become a regular there (good thing it is not by my house!) for any of you who want to spoil me...i love love love pedicures! what can i say....i am way too good to my feet! bonnie and i got to hang out tonight pedicures, ice cream, and the best home made zucchini soup i have ever had! i have been so blessed to spend so much time with bonnie, we have too much fun!
tonight we also had the opportunity to watch the relief society broadcast. the speakers were powerful, and my testimony grew. i cannot wait until i am able to read again what was taught tonight...and i am so excited to go and do the things that they have encouraged us to do, those things that we should be doing anyway... relief society can be a great source of strength for each of us, we are his children, He loves us, and there is a great work that we can do! i am also so excited for general conf. next week...we are so blessed!

whats up with me?

well guys, it has been forever since i have really had a minute to write about what i have been up to for the past few weeks or so. in one word, WOW. i have felt so many emotions so fast... i am not really even sure where to begin. so lets see if i can update ya- work: well, work is work...we have been doing hearing screenings for the schools in the entire district and it has been really good for me to get to know the area. also, it has let me get to know the other people who will be doing speech. there are 15 of us now, and it is really comforting to know that there is always someone that i can talk to for opinions, advice, and just to throw ideas back and forth! tomorrow i actually get to start pulling my kids and i am so excited! it is going to be overwhelming i think, but i really am looking forward to the experience. so far...as far as work goes, i feel very blessed. Apartment: as it turns out…I am still homeless. ): who would have thought that my “moving in sept 1st” would turn into almost october? I cant complain though, i really have to thank those who are letting me stay with them… I am always in and out and going everywhere (: I probably am not the best house-guest…but to those of you I am staying with THANKS HEAPS! As for fun things that I have been doing: I took a road trip to CO this past weekend. So much fun! I went to visit my old roommate and we went to a concert for 15 bucks! We went to see jon mclaughlin , elliot yamin , and secondhand serenade! My favorites were jon (who I think is such an amazing piano player and singer) and secondhand…so so so good! What a blast! (we will probably go to secondhand serenade when they are in SLC)! so yep- that is pretty much it! i have let you know about being in the hospital with bonnie, and i have tried to keep you updated about spencer, i guess that if you want to know something that i have not mentioned... just ask!

well guys, its an update (a short one for spence) this is what he has to say this week!!! "i am doing good. guess what. we had a baptism this last week. she is so awesome. her name is gisella. she dropped all of her old life to be a member of the church. she really is just awesome. i really wished that i could just give her a huge hug after the baptism but i just couldn't you know the mission rules. but yeah. this last week was just a good week. we are really doing good. i am loving the time that i have had iwth my companion. he is so cool and i think that we have a chance of being together for 4 1/2 months but we will see. oh and now i am also district leader." i just know that he is going to be a great DL! it is also his birthday this week... when did my little brother get to be 21!!! please keep him in your prayers! love you!

want to come home!!!

well... aunt bonnie is doing good! the dr said that she might get to come home tomorrow!!! she is not supposed to go back to work for about a week to ten days... but she gets to come home and this is great news! she has appriciated all of the flowers, cards, visits, and prayers from everyone. thanks guys! i will continue to keep you updated on her recovery! LOVE YOU!!!

update!!!

well... bonnie is doing good they have moved her out of ICU and they think that she will be home on thursday... so lets cross our fingers. (: they have her off of oxygen, and off of the heparin drip... things are good. that is it for now. i'll let you know more when i know more!

update about aunt bonnie...

hey guys... well as many of you have heard, bonnie was admitted to the hospital today. i have been on the phone a lot, and decided that it might be a good idea to post something about what has been going on today. this morning we took bonnie to the ER and they found some blood clots in her lungs. later they found some more clots in her legs. for now, bonnie is not allowed to be out of bed or do anything really... the doctors want her to rest. she is on some blood thinner and they are hoping that the clots will go away. they have also placed a filter in her to help prevent the clots (the ones in her legs) from moving too far. she will be in the ICU for at least another day, and then on the regular floor for another couple of days so that the doctors can keep a close eye on her. she says THANKS so much for all of the thoughts and prayers. if you want to call or visit bonnie, you can call my cel or her cel...i will be with her for most of the time. i'll try to keep you posted as much as i can. love you.

hey all.. things are super crazy... i have not had much time to breathe, let alone post anything... after training in SLC i went to IF for the weekend and spent some much needed time with my family. it was especially good to be with lis and nate... man that kid has grown i took too many pictures of that kid!

last week was spent in poky for the weddings of two of my roomates, alisa and heidi... it was such a blessing to share that experience with both of them...

we are done with the training in SLC! hallah! they wanted to take a pic of just our group.. (we were one of 6) ..and our certificates... they are crazy.. the lady in the front was the instructor assigned to our group, we loved amy! for this pic they wanted to do some kind of cheer, i had know idea what they wanted so i just decided to smile.. (go me!) i will have you know however, that i have chocolate frosting all down the front (left) of my shirt, my cake attacked me! the frosting did anyway, you know those toys that little kids play with, the ones that are sticky, you throw them at a wall and then they kind of roll down the wall... kind of like this picture... well that is what the frosting did all down my shirt... it was beautiful, i even gave my presentation with the very attractive frosting (what i could not get off) on my shirt! no one noticed... but i thought "why me" for about half a second and then just laughed... wow! anyway...things are pretty crazy, this weekend i am moving (again) and then it is off to poky for weddings, chilling with friends, hopefully some camping, and just all around good times! then i start work... wow... so many changes.. but good! (:

this past weekend....

well, this past weekend i just had to get out of town... i stole amy's car and headed to american fork as soon as i could! friday i got to chill with bonnie, then i went to her house before driving down to see jenny. for those of you who dont know jenny is my best friend from colorado... my pen pal all through high school and on my mission, well she is great! i got to her house by about 8 (without getting lost... suprizing to some of you i know) (: anyway, we chatted foever on friday and just got caught up on life really, man i love that girl. saturday she had to go to the temple, so i went to springville to take some stuff to a friends house, then i went shopping at KOHLS. i eventually made it back to jenny's house and decided to go to the temple... WOW! i love the mount timp temple... when i was done i just sat out on the grounds and read my scriptures. the spirit was so strong, and i was so humbled to feel so strongly the spirit just saying that all will be okay! it is great to be reminded of that! jenny was done at the temple by 5 and we decided to just hang out at her house, we dont get to spend that much time together, and it was fun just to watch movies, talk, and be there for each other. it was great! i headed home sunday right after church and hit poky about 8. my roomie chan was still there so i stopped and we went to a friends house for games and a bday party.. it was weird to be back in pocatello, but at one point i forgot that i actually didnt ilve there. chan and i left and then ended up talking until after 1am, i stil had to drive home. i made it to blackfoot before calling chan so she could keep me awake! i am so glad i am blessed with the greatest friends!
