boys-

well, my mom just sent me this pic of my boys last night, and i love it! i think that it explains a lot of how each of them think. Matt is his usual happy-go-lucky-huge-grin self, Preston is being macho because he is getting so tall, and Nathan is still trying to figure everything out! love it! i think i smiled forever, and then i missed them. hope you enjoy this as much as i did! WINK!!!

i love that i can take pictures whenever i want and share them with you! i also love the fact that i can text them...it is great, and it keeps me in touch so much more with my family! so, as many of you are finding out, i have been working on my family to get their own blogs...and it is a work in progress! (: my parents have started one, and i know that lisa, amy, and erin are really thinking about it. it is so much fun to read about how everyone is doing, and all of the fun things that you can put on your blogs...pics, videos, links, etc. anyway...it is just nice to have this little connection when i hardly get to go home. for those of you who don't know, my car is broken.. ): yes this is a sad thing, but i am blessed with two legs that work, and some really good friends who allow me to tag along with them. i am trying to see the blessings in this predicament. not having a car saves me money (gas is freaking expensive) and also i cannot just go to the store whenever i want...both good things. this also is forcing me to stay at the library longer because i hate walking. so i am pretty much forced to stay at the library and work on all of my homework that i have! yeah- speaking of school, it is really going good! only 74 days!!! i know i am retarded and i keep track, but who doesn't? i mean really... it has taken me so long to finish school, it is about time don't you think? my classes are great. i am taking a "trust and self esteem" class that is interesting. it is only 8 weeks, and we do a lot of random activities and then we talk about how they relate to real life. it is a breeze and there are only 3 more class times! that means the semester is 1/2 over! yippee! i am also taking a neuroscience class, a speech methods class, educational audiology, interdisciplinary evaluation team class (which is basically lectures...easy), and a technical writing class. my least fav is the writing class...probably because i just write like i speak...a lot of filler words, and bad English! (: ha ha! i am also taking an institute class that i love. it is the 2nd 1/2 of the Old Testament from Brother Crockett. he is great, and i am learning a lot. well that is about all i have for school. i should get back to doing my homework i just wanted to put in a bit of an update! oh yeah- congrats to all of you who are expecting! so many babies in our family!!! WOW!

okay...so i know that some of you give a shout out to those in your fam who are having b-days! well, i am a bum and did not get my sister's b-day on the right day...forgive me? amy turned 23 on the 21st! holy crap i am old!!! she is great. well sis- hope that all is well and that you had the best b-day ever! st george...

can i just tell you how much i love southern utah, and how much i hate the snow? well i do, i just spent this past weekend in st. george and i am sad to stay that i had to come home to go to school. it is about 82 days until graduation, and all we thought about all weekend was how we could finish school and stay in st. george! okay, so that really was not ever a possibility, but man we all wanted to stay! chantal, alisa, and i all packed up and drove to st. george friday....it was not a long trip at all. we got to chan's g-parents house about 7ish and then went to cafe' rio (yum!) we stayed up late and played games, and just talked...it was so much fun. saturday we wen't shopping, had some lunch, took naps i think, played more games, and set up a computer! after that we went to get some frozen custard (which by the way has got to be in heaven....i am so getting more the next time that we go down....p.s. bonnie jo- you have got to go and try it out the next time that you are in st. george!) then we went up to the "DIXIE" and ate the yumminess! sunday we had 1 church so sleeping in was a given. monday we went to breakfast after swimming and laughed a lot. i need to also mention that we basically ate the entire weekend, and laughed so much! i really love their family and it was so nice to spend time with them. you might also be wondering about the picture... august rush is one of my fav movies! i am not sure when it is going to be out on video, but it is highly recommended! love it! well, i am home now, back in the swing of school, and freezing! but what do you do? 82 days!!!

first kiss-

well, i thought that today being Valentine's day (or rather 'tetris' day at my house) it would be a good day to share one of my favorite kissing pics, and get your thoughts about kissing. everyone can remember their first kiss...or at least i hope that they can. i think that it would be fun to share about your first kiss. i remember being quite young and kissing the neighbor boy from across the street. i am not sure if it wounts as my first kiss, but it is funny. i have been reading in people's "tags" about who kissed who first and what not, but share if you will, your first kiss! i am excited to see what we all have to say! well, i do hope that you all have a great valentines... i will leave you with some great quotes! share the LOVE!!! "A kiss is something you can not give without taking, and can not take without giving." and "You have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find your prince" (is this last quote actually true? what do you think?) so- one of my old roommates decided that our house needed a bit of encouragement...ha ha and she sent us a kissing coupon book, a "how to kiss" book (which by the way is very humorous...it was written in the 1940's or something and their ideas about kissing are so funny) and finally a book on "how to like boys" we laughed forever... and thanked her for the gifts. it is so funny when our friends (who are boys) come over and they have to read their favorite parts of the book... we have learned so far about something called a vacuum kiss, and about a leap year electric kissing party... they think that we should have one.... i will let you know if we do!

ENCHANTED...

so saturday we went to the free movie...and i love it! the soundtrack is great, and i was so greatful to lisa and bonnie for telling me all about it before i watched it! it really was so much fun. plus it has sexypat....(aka patrick dempsey) for those of you who need a better pic of him...i will add him as well! so there you go! anyway, for those of you who love princess movies i think that this is a must see... really... i know that there are a few of you who are princesses at heart! (:

temple dedication

so yesterday was the dedication of the rexburg temple. i have never attended a dedication before and was very moved by how amazing it was! there was such a reverence in the building that we were in, and to see those men, called of God speak about the temple with such a love! i felt the Spirit so strong as we sang "the spirit of God". i also loved the counsel that we were given about temples. elder bednar told us to go to the temple often. he also said not to always go seeking for the right answers...but to go to find the right questions. i know that the temple is a place that we have to feel love, to be taught, and to escape from this world. temple work is so important. i know that we are blessed everytime that we go. all temples no matter where you are have the same teachings, the same feeling, the same goal....to help us move forward in the work of the Master.

my parents house....

since everyone is talking about snow, and sharing pictures i thought that i would share the one that my mom text to me yesterday. so yeah- that is my parents house. i am really trying to remember to take pictures of my own place of residence so that you all can see how pathetically lazy we all are. we don't shovel at all. we just prefer the ice. plus our rain gutter is breaking off... you would think that our land lord would fix it, but not in this weather. we'll see if i can get some pictures in the next couple of days. this morning i decided that i would sleep in, and then walk to class instead of catching a ride with one of my roommates... not a great idea, it was so windy and snowy when i left...i ended up walking in a drift that came up to my knees at one point. i just had to laugh! this is when i say to myself "jenn, you are an idiot girl!" so there you go. (: thursdays are my fridays! horray for another week of classes behind me! only 12 left!!! for those of you who are wondering, i am trying to get my family to make blogs as well....at least i can get my mom, lisa, amy, and most likely erin, but we will have to see! on to other things...so one of my friends asked me to send her a list of songs so that she could make me a CD. so i decided to create the most random list... so many of the songs have memories attatched to them. i was talking to riv yesterday and we just laughed about some of the memories that we thought up. groups like "fun factory" and songs like "new age girl".. don't you just love music?

"by their feet ye shall know them." so spencer sent some pictures of his shoes! wow! can you believe this? anyway, it is always so good to hear from him and to hear how he is doing. i heard from him this week...he is such a great missionary. he said that he weighs 173 now, and that he is getting transferred in about a week. he reallyl is doing great, and is excited for the change, even though he will miss the families that he has gotten so close to.

things with me are good. i really have not had too much of an update because i have been so busy...but really things have been great! school is really kicking my butt, i had 4 papers due this week, a test, and a quiz... "kill me!" just kidding. it is going be really fast, there is just so much to get done. about 95 days. it is so hard to believe. i was talking to my mom the other day, and she says that i sound just like erin. i never thought that i would graduate at the same time as my sister. but its all good, it is kinda fun! last week one of my roommates decided that we needed to date more, and that we were all going to go on a group date saturday. so we all got dates (making 5 couples) and planned it for last saturday. i was not in the planning, and i must say that we all had so much fun. we came to our house where alisa had made some really yummy chinese food. we ate picnic style in our dining room with candles everywhere. then we went on a picture scavenger hunt (planned by heidi) -- for those of you who do not know what that is.... each couple has a list of things that you need to get done...you take a picture doing the task/activity, and then you come back and have a slideshow of all of the pictures that you took! heid was quite creative...we had to do things from bagging someone’s groceries, to trying on the same outfit as a mannequin (standing side by side for the pic), to kissing in a phone booth, going to a cemetery and taking a pic with a gravestone with your first or last name on it, and finally xeroxing your face and then taking a pic of you and the copy of your face! but there were 20 things that we had to do...those are just a few. honestly i have not laughed that hard in such a long time. we watched the slide show and then we split up into whoever just playing games. someone got the great idea to play four square in our dining room... i am not sure, but i am pretty sure that all of our parents would have cringed at adults playing 4 square in the house....to those playing Dr. mario in the room below the 4 square, it sounded like a herd of elephants pounding around up there, and then just laughing. eventually we had banana boats from the oven and banana splits and then we were all downstairs for cards and more Dr. mario. everyone was singing along, (some making up their own words) and mostly laughing at each other. we all had a great time. (: that's about all of the update that i have for today...hope you are all well!

HOLA ARGENTINA!!!!

wow! i mean really, can it get any better than this? i cannot understand how some people can live in this kind of beauty and not believe in God. to me, this photo screams that there is something else out there. The Master, the Creator of everything, our Father. i am humbled as i look at this! for those of you who can't really see who the person is, it is spencer. that's right. Elder Anderson!!! they spend some of their p-days in the mountains! i love it!!! and if he is looking a bit on the skinny side, you are not seeing things...he is losing weight like no other! anyway, he is doing great. the family that he is with (see the picture on the left side of my blog) is great, and he loves them. He loves so many of the people there. He is the branch president in the branch that he is currently in, and he thinks that he will be getting transferred in a week or so. his testimony and love for the gospel has grown so much. he is a great example to me, and as i get pictures or e-mails i am reminded of my own mission in australia... and my testimony grows. i know that he is where he needs to be. i also know that we can all do so much as members to help the missionaries around us! this Gospel is good news...it gives us hope, happiness and love... we should share it!
