...my jean quilt...

well, i got a text from my sister in law asking for pics of my jean quilt! i just love jean quilts... they can have so much personality. i never use a pattern i just go to work! the first one that i ever made was for a laurels project, and it looks really funky. i just put huge peices togther. i remeber breaking my mothers surger on that quilt as well. i made this one a couple of years ago. i am lazy and did not want to measure out all of the squares so i just cut the seams out of the pant legs and made really big strips. then i tried to cut them in a square shape. after getting all of the squares i peiced them together over my moms huge rug in the living room. i sewed the squares together in big stripes and then sewed the stripes together. (: the orange material is small corduroy, it covers the entire back and then i wrapped it around the edges. i would have loved to put batting in it, but it is heavy all ready, adn quite large... roughly king size i think!
