well...it was way too much fun to have a break! and now i am back in the swing of things! i had a 10 page paper due today (fun i know) and i have a break for a bit! yipee! so my break was great! i spent the first weekend with my family, we strung and cleaned my guitar...oh it is beautiful (thanks am)....we hung out with most of the fam...all but dave's family and spence for easter. we have been working on a book for our fam with all of the songs that my father has written, and then some ones we love to sing all together, it was a lot of fun. it is crazy how much work that is. lisa is doing most of it... she is so good to us! don't you just love the picture of nate... everytime you get any kind of camera out he opens his eyes wide and just stares...one day i will catch a smile though! i left them on sunday, and cleaned my house monday (: tuesday i tried to get some homework done (i worked a bit on that paper that was due today) and then my roomie and i were off to colorado! it was so much fun. we had a long road trip, but we really had a blast! her family is way too much fun... one of her neices called me "peppermint" instead of jenn half of the time, and the other one just used me as the scapegoat...saying "i want jenn" this or that... it was funny! ... i laughed at the new nickname, the things kids come up with! (: anyway, the picture is of a park that we went to way up in the mountains. it reminded me a lot of West Yellowstone. i would love to go there again on a family trip or something... it was beautiful!

lyrics:
Anywhere you go, anyone you meet, Remember that your eyes can be your enemies, I said hell is so close, and heavens out of reach, But I ain't giving up quite yet, I've got too much to lose, Hold me down, sweet and low little girl Hold me down, sweet and low and I will carry you home, Hold me down, sweet and low little girl Hold me down, and i'll carry you home, The rain is gonna fall, the sun is gonna shine, The wind is gonna blow, the waters gonna rise, She said, when that day comes look into my eyes, But no ones giving up quite yet, we've got too much to lose, Hold me down, sweet and low little girl, Hold me down, sweet and low and I will carry you home, Hold me down, sweet and low little girl, Hold me down, And i'll carry you all the way, When you say you're fine, But you're still young and out of line,When all I need's to turn around, To make it last, to make it count, I ain't gonna make the same mistakes, That put my mama in her grave, I don't wanna be alone
well, i got a text from my sister in law asking for pics of my jean quilt! i just love jean quilts... they can have so much personality. i never use a pattern i just go to work! the first one that i ever made was for a laurels project, and it looks really funky. i just put huge peices togther. i remeber breaking my mothers surger on that quilt as well. i made this one a couple of years ago. i am lazy and did not want to measure out all of the squares so i just cut the seams out of the pant legs and made really big strips. then i tried to cut them in a square shape. after getting all of the squares i peiced them together over my moms huge rug in the living room. i sewed the squares together in big stripes and then sewed the stripes together. (: the orange material is small corduroy, it covers the entire back and then i wrapped it around the edges. i would have loved to put batting in it, but it is heavy all ready, adn quite large... roughly king size i think! (: hey echo- if you wanted a pic of the whole thing layed out, just let me know and i will update this post later today, or tomorrow! (:
well, this is what does it for me! go for the DP!!! it is how i make it! YUM! (: i cannot believe that it is wednesday already- so far i have been able to get through the days quickly... but i think today might be long... monday was good, i had a neuroanatomy exam (you know... all about the anatomy of the brain) and FHE which turned out to be really good, we were at bishopricks houses and our lesson was on feeling the spirit (i think) that is what i got out of it anyway, the guy that gave the lesson talked about his mission and how sometimes the people that we teach fall away. we need to teach others to rely on their own tesimonies and not fully rely on others testimonies... we then talked about how to do that, and my thoughts were on those parents in the Book of Mormon who prayed for their children who had fallen away. sometimes they were blessed because of the prayers of their parents. we can always pray for those we have taught or shared the gospel with. we can always pray for our friends and families. it was just another reminder to me about how much loving others, how much our testimony by example helps those we are around... and those we love! well, tuesday was jam packed, i had a clinic assignment to turn in and another clinic assignment to do...can i just tell you how much i am going to love my job when i am done with school?!? i really enjoy clinic... and i love learning about all of the many things that work together to allow us to speak! (: now it is today- as i have procrastinated, i now have 2 papers to write today, a presentation to give (on autism and hearing loss), a talent show to attend, and a pedicure to give to my old roomie who is getting married on saturday! (yeah kayla!!!) so yeah- that is my week so far- and i am depending a lot on my DP! there are only 53 days until graduating and i am not going to lie when i tell you that at our house we chant "53! 53! 53!" (or whichever the number is for that day) it is a good thing! in about 30 hours i will be on spring break!! and it cannot come soon enough- i have a lot of plans for the next 11 days!!! yeah! also, while i was looking for my pic of DP ... i came across this and i laughed... (: thought i would share(:
well, this weekend one of my old roomies came into town and when she came into our house she had this guitar... what is that i asked, thinking that it was some kind of game (yeah i know, im kinda slow) and then she said "it's yours!" and she handed it to me! HOLY CRAP! i am so excited! i am not really good at the guitar, but i have been practicing and this will be so much fun! i love playing with my family, and i just know that Matt is going to have a ball with it! anyway, i just wanted to share my exciting news. p.s. this weekend was our "womens week". we were able to hear from Sis. Allred first counselor in the general RS. and Elder Hammond our area 70 i think! i will post more about that later... so watch for another post today or tomorrow! (:
ooh! my sister is a hottie! i cannot believe that she is graduating! she is 10 years younger than me, and you know, we have always been close. let me see if i can share some great moments about erin. for one of our family reunionsa long time ago...erin might have been 5 or 6, (it was a big one with a lot of extended family... somewhere in wyoming i think) there was a place to sit, we were having a type of church meeting or something and there was a moose. erin had gone to the bathroom. the moose walked past, and a few seconds later erin came in running saying "mom! mom! i saw something big, and brown, and it had a hump! i think it was a camel!" oh man we laughed and laughed! i remember erin always loving everyone, and being so kind. she is a great help, and she is always serving someone....she is one of my heroes and i look up to her so much. she is very talented, and above all, she LIVES the gospel. her testimony is so strong, and she is an example to everyone around her! you are great erinee! i love you way too much!
You are Elizabeth Bennet of Pride & Prejudice! You are intelligent, witty, and tremendously attractive. You have a good head on your shoulders, and oftentimes find yourself the lone beacon of reason in a sea of ridiculousness. You take great pleasure in many things. You are proficient in nearly all of them, though you will never own it. Lest you seem too perfect, you have a tendency toward prejudgement that serves you very ill indeed.
