hey all...i guess it has been awhile since i posted...over 2 months!!! GEEZ! i had better get on the ball! things have been going really great! i cant believe it has been so long since spencer has come home. it has been so good to have him home...i love getting random texts and just knowing i can call him whenever! it has also been fun to listen to him talk about the people in argentina and the things that he was able to experience there.
i have kept pretty busy lately. i have am the FHE coordinator in my ward and am always looking for new ideas. i really have a great ward. it is your typical singles ward so it is a bit quirky...but there are always some great laughs. i have been able to make some really great friends, and it is so nice to have a good bunch of people to hang out with. i have also been working on and am almost finished with another levi quilt. i will have to say that i have complained the most making this quilt then with any other quilt i have made...i also cannot take all of the credit. aunt bonnie was nice enough to let me use her house a couple weeks ago to finnish cutting and begin sewing all of the peices together...i was pinning forever, and she started sewing....by the time i was done pinning, she had lots sewed...so i started ironing...bonnie ended up doing all of the first part of the sewing....what a champ!!!! she is so amazing! i was probably driving her crazy, and i made a huge mess! LOVE YOU BONNIE!!! after leaving bonnies house i still had to finish cutting all of the sewed strips into squares. then i had to wait a week or so until i went up to my moms. in that week i kept myself busy with work, my calling, and with friends...i have learned how to make peanut butter ice cream that is to die for (and i dont really care for peanut butter, so that is saying a lot) spencer came to visit me and stay a couple nights at my house. i sure loved spending that time with him. aside from the boring part of him having to stay at my house while i was at work, we went bowling, and we also went to institute, and he was able to meet a ton of my friends while we played basketball and games at a friends house. thanks spence for coming to see me. eli and sydnie came to pick spence up and it was so so so good to see them! it has been too long! we chatted forever and then they had to go. i picked up spencer in SLC the next friday and headed for home. we picked up erin in poky and headed right to the middle school to see matt play "friar tuck" in robin hood! he did amazing! lil nate loved it as well...he kept saying "MATT" every time matt was on stage! that kid has got some talkent! we love you matthew! after the play we headed to moms and i got to work again on my quilt! i used her sewing maching to put teal zig-zags in every square (just for character)...erin was a champ and helped me lay out all of the peices so that i could see how big this sucker was going to be, and how much material and batting i would need....we peiced and sewed big strips and peiced some more...finally it was time to sew the fleece, batting, and tie it! erin stayed up with me until 4 in the morning just to get it this far. we were so tired we had to get some rest. sunday morning i was bummed cause i really wanted to finish my quilt....i only had the edging left to do, but no good scissors lisa saved the day and had some great ones. grandpa, lisa and i cut and folded and finished the edging...and i got to sewing! i am practicallyl done!!! i ran out of time to put the finishing touches around the outside....but that will happen soon enough!!! (: i am pretty excited about it. it looks great! it is all pinned and ready to go! i am not sure that i will make another on of those any time soon! ugh! i do love love love the way it turned out, and i have to say a huge THANK YOU!!!!! to everyone that helped me with this, for the jeans....the time...the laughs...for putting up with my complaining..ha ha! you guys are great!

hey guys! we have had a lot of fun this thanksgiving! being at home means lots of games, lots of family, lots of food, and lots of fun! we had some great laughs... and it was really fun to spend time at home!








i am very thankful for the family that i have, for the many blessings that i have been given, and thankful for the specific ways that i have been taught so many of lives lessons. i am who i am today because of so many people in my life. i have the best friends, and the best family!

its been a bit...

so, as you might have already noticed...i have not been blogging as much as i should have been...but to be completely honest, not much has happepend. at least not everyday. today (tonight) i am going to attempt to play catch up, and let you know what is going on in my life. i have been doing a lot of cooking lately. as it turns out i am so sick of eating out, that i have loved making dinner. i have made burritos, chili, potato soup, chicken and stuffing, and others i just cannot remember right now. but it really has been a lot of fun. (: this past weekend i spent some time with aunt bonnie... i also got to see bruce, kim, and family...and that was a lot of fun. it amazes me how much those kids have grown, i really enjoyed spending time just chatting. i was suprized to learn that bruce had just had his appendix out!!! wow! i am so glad that he is okay! it was a fun afternoon. bonnie and i ended up going to get some material, and then stopped at this place called "spoons and spices" (or something like that) and i was able to find a pan that i have been looking for forever! it was pretty cheap too for cast iron, so i bought it! i was really excited. we stopped by walmart on our way back to bonnies, and my car freaked out. BUMMER! i was not too happy about it. we spent the next hour waiting for the tow guy to come and get my car, and then we finally went back to bonnies! we watched "the ultimate gift" while i wrote a talk for church. for those of you who have not seen this movie it really is a good family movie, i think that it has a good message. i watched it again today...i really do love it! today was a good day. bonnie drove me home and stayed in my ward while i gave my talk. i talked about the 9th article of faith and how we can receive personal revelation. it went okay, i dont particularly enjoy speaking in church though. after church we had a linger longer and they made us spaghetti dinner. it was pretty good and it was nice to get to know the ward a bit better. today i also was given a new calling. i am the FHE coordinator. i think that they said i have a partner, but she is really busy with work...so it might just be me. i am only really supposed to go to the ward for another couple of years, but i think it will be a good experience for now...so if any of you have any great group FHE ideas...i would love love love to get them...anything! (: this afternoon i decided to put my new pan to use... i called my gma for the recipe and made a yummy yummy meal! it is more of something that you would eat for breakfast, with cinn/sugar i have had them since i was little. it is a danish dish, and we called them ebbelskews. that is not what they are called...but they are really good! so i seasoned my new pan and put it to good use! it worked amazing..and they were really yummy! (: here are some pics...

do you take your microwave for granted?

i know some of you might think that title is weird, but in all honesty i did not know how much i use a microwave until i moved and i dont have one! i just had a good laugh becuase i have left overs, but cannot really cook them quickly, and if it is going to take that long, then i should just make something else from scratch! ha! it is funny to me! also, other things that i forget that i did not have was a can opener... i am suprized that i did not chop off any of my fingers the other night when opening a can of green beans to go with some yummy italian chicken (thanks for the recipe kris)! those are my random thoughts for the moment. i am planning on posting another update soon, but for now- thats it!
